Poker Players Alliance

The Poker Players Alliance is an Interest group that aims to uphold the rights of online poker and of online poker players. The alliance is there to let the voice of poker players be heard and to attempt to promote safe and fair regulation for online poker, while spreading the word that online poker is a lawful passtime.

  The PPA grew quickly after being formed in 2005. Over 600,000 poker players joined the alliance in its first year, demonstrating commitment to online poker and voicing their protest against unfair legislation. The organization today has over one million members, spurred on by well-known PPA board members such as Greg Raymer, Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson.

  Their aim is to "establish favorable laws that provide poker players with a secure, safe and regulated place to play."
