Rush Poker
Full Tilt recently announced a poker format “that will modify online poker forever”. Rush Poker, maybe referred to as just “Rush”, is a new and exciting way to play an old game. The premise is simple; once a player folds (or a hand is completed) they will be immediately sent to another table with other players who just folded as well. This process continues to repeat itself allowing players to get in as many as 350 hands per hour. While Rush Poker tournaments do exist they are nowhere near as popular as Rush cash games.
Rush Poker can be found in the FullTilt Lobby just under the Ring Game, Sit & Go, and Tournament tabs. Full Tilt currently offers Rush NL Hold’em, Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha Hi, and Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo. Stakes start as low as $.02/$.05 and go up to $1/$2 blinds. Pot-Limit Omaha only runs from $.05/$.10 up to $.50/$1.00. Once you have chosen your game and stakes you will be taken to a screen showing all of the players currently involved as well as specific game statistics such as hands per hour and average stack size. If these numbers are to your liking click “join now” and with in a few seconds your Rush Poker session will begin.
Once at the table you will be presented with different options to help speed up game-play. Even when it is not your turn to act you are allowed to fold and move onto another table. Players can instantly fold by choosing the “quick fold” button on the bottom of the screen. You will not know whether or not players have quick-folded until the action is upon them. This is what makes Rush Poker so interesting; players tend to shy away from marginal decisions and instead opt to go onto a new hand/table. Playing
Rush Poker Holdem is intense!
This is what sets Rush Poker apart, the ability to play so many hands per hour. With an average for 250-300 hands per hour in NL games, you can play one table of rush compared to four or five regular cash game tables. Even better, if you are skilled enough to handle more tables, you can multi-table Rush Poker! The one downfall here is there is only one table at each limit. For example, at $.50/$1.00 there are PLO, NL 6max, NL Full Ring, and Fixed Limit Full Ring tables but just once of each. If you enjoy 6max and want to play multiple Rush Poker tables at once you will need to play different limits. This might be quite difficult at first but it will eventually allow for 500+ hands per hour!
Playing so many hands per hour can be a tremendous help when attempting to clear the FullTilt 100% up to $600 initial deposit bonus (Use the
Full Tilt Poker Referral Code MAXBONUS600). Because the bonus is large and released in $20 increments you will need to play a lot of hands in the 120 day allotted time frame. Those who are able to multi-table Rush Poker should be able to clear the bonus in its entirety. These $20 boosts to your roll are a big help when looking to move up in stakes. These extra hands played will also help with the FullTiltPoker.com Iron Man Challenge which is another great way FullTilt rewards its loyal customers. The more rake you pay the higher your Iron Man Status will go which results in mid-year bonuses and other prizes.
Give Rush Poker a go the next time you’re bored of regular cash games. It’s action-packed and even those with attention issues should have no problem staying entertained as you get in five hands each minute! If you are new to FullTilt be sure to take advantage of their 100% up to $600 sign up bonus when creating your new account.
